We replaced an old makeup mirror type light with this one and I'm glad we spent the money - great investment - the bathroom looks elegant - the shades are beautiful. We used 75 watt bulbs - little bright so may switch to lower watt later on.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It looks lovely! My husband was a little hesitant about the price, but he is a quality man and is pleased with how it is made and how great it looks. One thing...instructions tell you to mount it with an uplight, and doesn't mention that it can be mounted either way. Now it is installed with an uplight and it is emphasizing the popcorn ceiling that I hate. I haven't told my husband he is going to have to flip it yet. It won't be a problem as it was easy for him and our 16 year old son to install, it's just an inconvenience.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
